Thank You card

Here is the Thank You card that I made for thanking everyone for our gifts. I wanted it to reflect winter and I think by using the snowflake from the seasonal icon hostess set made it work. I didn't think I would like Baja Breeze as much as I do. But I love it!

All Stampin’ Up unless otherwise stated
Sets: Seasonal Icon, Flight of the butterfly
Ink: Baja breeze, versamark
Paper: hand drawn dp, riding hood red, WW, Kraft
Misc: 1” circle punch, 1 ¼ circle punch, Baja breeze ribbon,
rhinestone (from the craft store)

2008 Christmas Cards

I finally got a picture of our Christmas card to post on the web. They were a lot of work. Lots of parts to assemble. But I think they turned out nice.

Christmas was fun this year. We had our annual Kassler with Sourkraut and mashed potatos on Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas day we had prime rib. Both were tastey!

Tiffany Makes Her Christmas Cards

My Niece, Tiffany, came up yesterday, Wednesday.
She made Christmas cards and learned how to make frikadellas, fruitcake and a shrimp boil. Thanks Tiff, it was fun!

Her cards turned out really cute.

Picture from Stampin' Up Convention

I went to Convention with Patricia and her Mother. All 3 of us have been with Stampin' Up for 5 years. So I decided that we needed to go up on stage with the rest of the crazies just because we can. It was a fun time.

Need to make something

I have been restraining myself from making anything. I have decided to get my craft room organized before I start any new projects. I will be finished soon. Which is good because I need to make my Christmas card designs for my annual Christmas card "Stamp-A-Stack". I saw another blogger who has a "Christmas card banquet". I guess it could be described as a "buffet" of cards. So keep watching. I have the ideas in my head, I will get them finalized soon!

Sallie's workshop Sept 30th

Sallie hosted a workshop last night. It was a lot of fun.
Thanks Sallie!
Here is a picture of one table of ladies working diligently on their make and takes.
This cute little guy belongs to Cynthia (Sallie's sister)
He has the cutest curls!
He likes that banister....

St George Get-Together Swaps

My friend Patty wanted me to load this swap on my blog for future reference. So here he is Patty.
He is so cute. The lady that made him was staying in the same motel that I was. She was down in the lobby putting them together the night before.

Kandi, one of the women that were at my table (photo in previous post), made this sock monkey treat. The little banana candy is the cutest!

More swaps A close up of 2 of them.I ran out of swaps and took some pictures of some others. Lot's of good stuff.

St. George Get-Together Sat. Sept 27th

I'm back from St. George and thought I would post a few pics from the workshop. Maybe later I will post more, but thought I would get a couple up tonight before bed. I got some good ideas at this Get-Together.

Jill gave everyone at the Get-Together one of these little guys. He is pretty darn cute. His wings are attached with brads so they move and he even has feet. (Jill Olsen is the upline who organizes this event every year for her 1st five downlines. I am in her 3rd level)

As usual there were many samples to see.
They showed us how to make a card with a pocket like this to put other things.
Here they put smaller cards in the pocket.
There weren't as many women as previous years (cost of gas). But it actually was nice. It didn't seem as hectic and rushed.
This is Kandi and Teri. They were 2 of the women at my table.
I was the only one at my table from Utah. Everyone else was from Vegas.
They were a lot of fun!
Anyway, I got most of my make-and-takes done by 1530, which was good because Dave met me Friday evening in St. George. So after the workshop Saturday, we went to the movies and saw "Burn after Reading" (which wasn't as funny as we thought it would be). Sunday we played miniature golf before eating and then heading off our seperate ways.
Dave won the miniature golf game (as usual).
