Bitterroot Stampers Club

Hello All,

It's time to start Stamp Club again!

·         What is a stamp club?

o   A small group that gets together once a month to learn new techniques and make fun cards and other items.

o   We meet at my house so you don't have to worry about cleaning the house or organizing the event.

o   Spend time with old and new friends

·         How often do we meet?

o   We will meet once a month for a couple hours 5 or 6 times.
(ie, Nov, Jan, Feb, Mar, April, May)

·         Each club member commits to participating each month.

o   That includes purchasing $25.00 of Stampin' Up product.

·         Being a member has its privileges:

o   You get to find out what’s new and take advantage of specials.

o   Each member has the opportunity to be the recipient of free hostess products.   Each time we meet a different member of the club will be the hostess.

o   Because this is a smaller group, you will learn more complex techniques and see how easy it is to create high quality, professional looking cards and items.

o   You can ask to learn a specific technique or try something you have seen and I will integrate it into the meetings.  I can tailor the meetings to specialize around your interests.

o   I provide all the products and supplies needed to make each meeting’s projects.  All you do is come learn and have fun!

Sound like fun?  Want to get started?

Bitterroot Stampers Club 3-19-13

Marti was the hostess for this meeting.
Marti spoiled us with quiches and homemade apple juice.

The first project that we made was a picture frame.
We used the chalkboard technique.
We stamped with versa mark to add the white embossing powder.
After all the white embossing powder was on the paper, we then heated it one time to emboss everything.
Next we took sponges and white craft ink to smudge the paper in places to look like eraser marks on a chalkboard.
The banner along the top was made with the petite curly label punch (available free during Sale-A-Bration).
(all Stampin Up products unless otherwise stated)
We made 2 other cards.
We used the spritzer tool technique on both cards.
This card used the "By the Tide" set from the spring catalog.

We also made a 3 x 3 card using a Sale-A-Bration set "Vintage Verses"

The 2 cards below were cards that I made for everyone.
This first card I used the stamp set from the March Paper Pumpkin kit.(sign up for Paper Pumpkin HERE)
Very quick easy and simple.
(Less is More concept)

This card is a 3 x 3 card and I used the Madison Ave DSP along with the set.
The button for the flower is also from the Madison Ave button and ribbon set.
All these items were free during Sale-a-Bration which ended Mar 22nd.
Have I mentioned how I love  Sale-A-Bration?  It is the best promotion that Stampin' Up has.
For every $50.00 you spend before shipping and taxes, you get to pick an item from the Sale-A-Bration promo.
So if you spend $100.00 you get to pick 2 items etc.
Now we have to wait till next year for the next Sale-A-Bration event!

Bitterroot Stampers Club 2-22-13

It's been awhile since I posted.
Shirley was our hostess for this meeting.
(all Stampin Up products unless otherwise stated)
We made these little old olive boxes with the rich razzleberry belly bands.
I just got the scoring tool and the diagonal plate (which was free with Sale a bration) which I used to make the score lines to fold the box.
The set is "Oh Hello"  it too was free with Sale a bration.
I love that set.  It is so fun and the stamps work with so many things.

Inside we made 3 x 3 cards that fit perfectly
There were 2 designs and we made 2 of each.

I wanted to teach a new technique.
So I decided to show everyone the emboss resist technique.
We embossed the flowers in clear (since the paper was very vanilla)
and then used a sponge with the ink pad.
The color is bashful blue.
That is it for this time.  Thanks for stopping by.

Sale a Bration is almost over.
Contact me to order before March 22nd to get your free items.

Club night Jan 23rd

 Club was soo much fun!
We had a great time catching up on everyone's holiday happenings and travel.
Donna was the hostess for this club night.
We made card storage boxes.
Above are some of the boxes that were made.
Everyone's boxes turned out sooo nice!
Starting the year out organized with boxes to keep our cards stored by catagory.

We started by putting Natural Composition Specialty Paper on the box top.
We then embellished it using various ribbons, paper daisies, the new flower trim roses, buttons, Antique brads, Large Pearl basic Jewels and Tea Time Trinkets
(all Stampin Up products unless otherwise stated)

We also made some cards.  A Valentine card which had 2 techniques:
Kissing and Dazzling Diamonds.
The Valentine card uses the "Hearts a Flutter" set from the Spring Mini Catalog the "Delightful Dozen" and "Lovely Little Labels" set from the annual catalog
Paper: Confetti White, whisper white and Patio Party DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Designer Builder brads, dazzling diamonds, Hearts a flutter Framelits dies, Victoria Crochet Trim and Itty Bitty Shapes punch (circle)

Everyone made 2 of the card design below.
This card is a very easy and quick design that can be taylored to many themes.
I used the set: Secret Garden also from the Spring Mini Catalog
Other Sets: Delightful Dozen
Paper: Regal Rose, Marina Mist and Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose, Marina Mist and Old Olive
Accessories:  1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (old Olive)
Update:  I took the above design and modified it to be monochromatic and a different theme using the "By the Tide" set from the Spring Mini Catalog
