Stamp Workshop April 26th

I had some customers that wanted to come and make some cards, so I put together a class to make 3 card designs.  They made 2 of each design and went home with 6 quick cards.

This first card was inspired by a sample that was on the Stampin' Up web page.
It uses a technique called second generation stamping.
The perfect plum, pear pizazz and blushing bride color was a new combination for me, but I think it turned out nice.  I am loving the candy dots for accent color
Below is a quick design that can be easily modified with color.
I used Melon Mambo in the scheme below.
The "Happy Watercolor" set was used for the flower and saying.
Using rhinestones or pearls adds a little bling.
The 3rd card had a choice of designer paper.
The designer paper pretty much makes this card.
I used the Retro Fresh DSP and everyone had a choice of 4 different paper patterns to choose from.
I used Coastal Cabana to accent the designer paper and frame the sentiment "Make a Wish" from the "Perfect Pennants" set.
This is the first time I have used the burlap ribbon which can give a more masculine feel and add texture.
I love the Basic metal buttons because they are so flat and better for mailing.
(edited 5/6/14-- So happy to see that these buttons are in the new 2014-15 caty)

A couple cards same design

The card below is a card that I included as a Thank You for my club members in their last purchase.
I just love those ladies!  They are so fun.
The flower is made with the pansy punch and vellum paper.
I used the "Gorgeous Grunge" set to make the background dots and the saying is from "Bring on the Cake" set.  The pearls give it a little bling.  The colors are delightful daffodil and pear pizzaz on crumb cake.
I took the same simple card design and changed it up for wedding card by simply changing the color scheme to silver and white.  By changing the pearls to rhinestones, and the linen twine to bakers twine w/silver gave to it a little bling and coordinate the silver scheme.  I added silver foil to frame the white.
I think it turned out really elegant looking.
This card has already been put to use for a wedding we went to last week.

Bitterroot Stampers Club (season 3) Apr 9th (Shirley M., is hostess)

Shirley made tastey meatballs with a bean salad, cheesy sticks and a wonderful cheesecake.

Here is a quick card I made for everyone.
It uses cantaloupe crisp, the sweet sorbet paper and the Happy watercolor set

We made a set of cards that could be used as a gift for someone.
We used the envelope punch to make the card holder
It is big enough to hold 4 cards w/envelopes.
The belly band was decorated and can slip on and off easily.
The dimensions of the holder are 9 x 9 and then using the envelope punch board, score at 3.5, 4.5 and punching also.  Turn and use score lines to score each of the other 3 sides.
We made 4 cards with envelopes which fit in the envelope box that we made.
This is a close up of the belly band.

The card below also uses the Happy watercolor set for the background dots.
