Sapphire Stampers Club Feb. 16th Hostess- Linda B

This club was full of techniques and lots of styles.
We made shaving cream paper.  We didn't make a card using the shaving cream paper, but I wanted them to make some.  If you aren't sure what shaving cream paper looks like the pic below shows some of the paper I made when I demonstrated how to make it.  I used Melon Mambo, so saffron and rose red.

We made the 3 cards below and utilized several techniques:
The card on the far left utilizes a colored velum technique.
We used the botanical garden velum stack.  The flowers were already printed on the paper in white outline.
We took markers (so saffron  and sky blue) to color the flowers and give them some color.  If you didn't have the botanical garden velum, you could easily use white embossing and create the same effect.  The Thanks sentiment is stamped directly on the card stock below the velum.

We used a couple of watercolor techniques with the emboss resist.
The 2 cards on the right are using water color.
Below is a close up of the far right card.  The flower outline is embossed using black embossing powder..
Melon Mambo is the main color that was diluted to give it a varied intensity/dimension.Stem uses Old Olive.
The next watercolor card uses the white embossing powder for the small flowers and a wash was done over the top.
The colors were island indigo and pool party.  The colors were done on a diagonal to create more interest.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the St. Patricks treat that I made everyone.
Oh well, they were cute. Thanks for stopping by!
